In coordination with the General Affairs Division’s campus power system piping project on Friday, August 7, 2026, the Information and Network Division’s corresponding operations and the affected scope are as follows:
- During the power outage, the generator in the main server room will provide continuous power. Systems expected to remain unaffected by this power outage include: the University Homepage, Faculty and Staff Information System, Student Information System, Electronic Official Document System, and Electronic Form System.
- To reduce the load on the generator and air conditioning systems, and to ensure the normal operation of the aforementioned systems, the Information and Network Division will shut down select servers in the main server room one hour prior to the power outage. Systems not listed above will temporarily suspend services, such as the Moodle system and the cloud classroom system.
- The operating schedule of the Information and Network Division is as follows:
- General Affairs Division Power Outage Period: 08:00 to 17:00; Information and Network Division Partial Service Suspension Period: 07:00 until 1 hour after power restoration.
- The Taipei Campus backbone network will remain unaffected on that day. However, during the power outage, network equipment in the announced power outage buildings will be unable to operate; therefore, network connections in the affected buildings will not function normally.
- After power is restored, the Information and Network Division will sequentially power on and inspect the servers and network equipment in the main server room to gradually restore all information systems.
- If the General Affairs Division completes the power project ahead of schedule, services will be restored earlier without further notice.
