In response to a recent global emergency upgrade alert issued by the equipment manufacturer, the Information and Network Division is scheduled to upgrade the firewall firmware at the Taipei and Taoyuan campuses from 11:00 PM on Friday, October 30, 2026, to 01:00 AM on Saturday, October 31, 2026. This upgrade is to ensure that the university’s cybersecurity defenses are robust enough against several critical vulnerabilities, the details of which will be publicly disclosed on November 10. During the upgrade process, network connections and all information system services across all campuses will be temporarily suspended. If the upgrade procedure is completed earlier, services will be restored ahead of schedule without further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Area affected: Taipei Campus, Jihe Campus, and Taoyuan Campus
Services affected: All information systems, external network connections, wired networks, and Wi-Fi wireless networks across all campuses.
