Important Notices for MCU E-mail (Gmail & GoogleApp)

1. In accordance with the Google announcement in February 2021, G Suite for Education has been changed to Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals.

2. In accordance with the updated storage policy announced in Google Blog, the new storage model will provide schools and universities with a baseline of 100TB of pooled cloud storage shared across all of the institution’s users from July 2022.

3. The current baseline of pooled cloud storage shared across all of faculty and staff members (mail.mcu.edu.tw), students (me.mcu.edu.tw) and alumni (ss25.mcu.edu.tw) is over 100TB; therefore, we strongly recommend you to backup or clean your data stored in the cloud storage, photo albums and Gmail before Google starts to remove the excess data and affect your rights.

4. The measures for complying with this updated policy will be discussed based on the updated announcement and management policy from Google, and will announced once a resolution is passed in the future.
